Kenneth P. WellsKenneth P. Wells, President
Ken Wells is a born and bred Floridian. Ken brings to the firm over 25 years of experience in the Marine Construction industry. Ken is a state certified Florida General Contractor. Ken graduated in 1981 with a BS degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida.

Ken began his Marine Construction specialty on the Florida Keys Bridge Replacement Project in the late 70's and early 80's. Ken has successfully managed high profile marine residential construction projects like Fisher Island of Biscayne Bay in Miami and Pulte Homes of South Florida single and multi residential projects. In the Bahamas Islands with the 4 Star Atlantis Resort infrastructure developments, Ken further developed his professional skills.

For several years Ken managed the development of Atlantis Resort's huge 3.2 million gallon, abundantly stocked with marine life and plant life, exotic saltwater display tanks for breathtaking under water viewing. Ken also managed the development of all associated marine support facilities. Under Ken's leadership and in record timeframe within budget, Ken proved himself as a senior executive talent within the industry. Again as Senior Project Manager, Ken was instrumental with the construction of the 22 story Hyatt Regency Coconut Pointe Resort in Naples, Florida including lakeside docks, theme pools, fountains and water slide. Thousands of residential and commercial saltwater or freshwater projects as concrete and panel seawalls, wood or concrete docks, and boatlifts have been erected under Ken's quality associated leadership in south Florida.

Ken is married to the former Melanie Bishop from Archer, Florida. Ken and Melanie have 2 children. Ken is also an avid scuba diver and boater. Ken has dedicated his life's work toward "quality first with reasonable pricing" Marine Construction.

Vincent PecoraVincent Pecora – Vice President
Mr. Pecora brings a wealth of experience and background in construction to the firm. He has been with the firm since 2004. Vince brings marine experience with him from the Florida Keys Bridge Replacement Program where he worked for 6 years.

Vince has a variety of experience in construction projects with water and aquariums as the main theme such as Atlantis and the beautiful Hyatt Hotel in Naples, Florida. He has worked with pile driving, bridge and specialty marine construction. Vince is a certified diver, avid boater, fisherman and marine conservationist. He is married to the former Mary Walsh of Hollywood, Florida. This Florida family has two children. He loves working outdoors and especially around the water and marine environment.

Keith VanMeterKeith VanMeter, Vice President Market Development
Keith was raised and educated in Palm Beach County since the early 1950's. Keith brings to the firm deep insight into Florida and its marketplaces. Keith's first part time job as a student was to build seawalls in the early 1960's. Keith was trained early on in how to "build it the right way" according to his mentor. Upon receiving his bachelor's degree in 1967, Keith taught school in Palm Beach County before entering the business world in 1970. Keith understands Florida and its environment that require extra special attention due to its natural sensitivities and with the variety of population cultures. Keith knows that accommodating the extreme conditions and the special waterfront lifestyle of its citizens is paramount to success in the Marine Construction industry.

Keith says, "Being mindful of the Florida environment along with the Federal, State and local Municipal Regulator's concerns are paramount to the success of the project and long term homeowner happiness. One is going to have a dock, seawall or boatlift for 20 years to look at and it must be functional 24/7. The last thing you want is a botched up job from an inferior contractor (or illegal contractor) whose work and materials will not stand the test of time of south Florida extreme environments. If you do it the right way with 'best practice' engineering with an eye for creativeness for client expectations…you will do well. Also a must is 'best practice' materials and as importantly, company hired and controlled 'best practices trained' full time employees, not sub contractors who have no stake in the projects success. Vigilance to these things gives an end result that is long term happiness for all. Any deviation invites trouble. Only a Fly By Night Company invites such deviation."

Keith is married to the former Ardeth Smith, a 3rd generation Floridian from Fort Lauderdale. They have one grown son.

    Melanie Wells,  Permits Administrator
Melanie prepares and files all of our permit applications, schedules inspections and keeps track of their progress. At times, it's hectic, working with so many different towns and environmental agencies. Through it all, she remains calm and cheerful.

Melanie and Ken have two children. Melanie enjoys western style horseback riding whenever she can steal the time away from the firm and family.
